Thomas has worked at the centre of global economic policy for nearly 20 years, and brings that wealth of experience to his role devising future-focused economic policies at TBI.
Over the course of his career, Thomas worked as an international advisor to the Bank of England, deputy chief economist at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, global oil market economist at BP, economic advisor to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand and deputy director of global strategy at the UK Department for Business and Trade. He is best known for his influential research on long-term global interest rates, and his successful push for the UK to drop its international support of fossil fuels ahead of COP26.
