An expert on China, Ruby’s body of work includes a series of papers on the Chinese Communist Party congress, which policymakers from multiple jurisdictions have drawn on to help inform their own approach to a foreign policy towards China. 

Ruby has appeared on the BBC and written for TIME, Newsweek and the South China Morning Post. She has appeared as a speaker at TBI’s Future of Britain Conference; at the 2023 conference, she conducted an exclusive interview with former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
